Abstract
Current statistical reports on mortality rate in Tehran has shown steady increase of suicide and suicidality among youth. Undoubtedly a wide range of psychological, social and political variables are involved and explain the increase of this rate. The present research has chosen family institution and variables of family integration and family regulation, as the independent ones for suicidality. Empirically speaking, family support, the feeling of equality and loneliness are seen as the determining and significant variables in explaining the variance of suicidality. Consequently in the present situation family environment is capable of explaining a remarkable portion of suicide variance among the youth at Tehran and this is the grate success for the present research.
