Journal of Population Association of Iran is a bi-quarterly scientific journal which was founded in 2006 by the Population Association of Iran (PAI). One of the main missions of the PAI is to promote and strengthen the discipline of demography by providing an appropriate platform for the exchange of scientific-research, on the one hand, and dissemination of demographic knowledge, on the other. In line with this mission, Journal of the Population Association of Iran is one of the Iranian leading journals on issues related to population change and demographic trends with the following aims:

1. Publication and dissemination of research findings in the field of population
2. Improving and institutionalizing population research at the national level
3. Contributing to the knowledge production and exchange of research findings on various demographic issues among demographers, population experts and other interested scholars
4. Expanding the frontiers of population research and science by timely dissemination of new research findings.
