A global theoretical approach was constructed for this study. In this approach, in addition to local conditions and factors, external forces of globalization were also considered to be at work, changing Iranian family. Because different social groups, with different predispositions, have been differentially exposed to and interacted with external forces, one can simultaneously find families that with respect to type, style of formation, age at marriage and level of childbearing-regarding western experience, belong to non-simultaneous social contexts. Nevertheless, the general trend of Iranian family change has been towards the nuclear family, less stability, increased age at marriage and lower level of childbearing. It was inferred that, prior to the completion of its demographic transition, Iranian society has already partially started its second demographic transition. Given the pace of the communication revolution and the increasing proportion of Iranian users of modern means of communication, especially internet, it is also inferred that changes in the Iranian family will even get faster in the future. It was therefore suggested that, for more effective study of the Iranina family's stability and change, (1) the Statistical Center of Iran adopt the currently used classification of households and provide adequate family statistics, and (2) some eligible universities undertake to set up a "community and family study center". در این مقاله،‌ تغییرات خانواده در جامعه ایران را در جریان گذار جمعیتی، با تدارک یک رویکرد نظری مناسب، مطالعه کردیم. در رویکرد نظری تدارک دیده شده، اضافه بر شرایط و عوامل فعال در محل، عوامل بیرونی ناشی از جهانی شدن را هم بر تغییرات خانواده موثر گرفتیم. با توجه به این که گروه های اجتماعی مختلف در ایران، با پیش آمادگی های متفاوت، به طور ناهمزمان و به درجات متفاوت در معرض جوامع تاثیرگذار بوده اند، ملاحظه کردیم که به طور همزمان اشکال مختلف خانواده، سبک های مختلف تشکیل خانواده و سطوح مختلف سن ازدواج و بچه آوری را می توان پیدا کرد. با وجود این، در جریان گذار جمعیتی ایران، روند کلی تغییرات خانواده به سوی خانواده هسته ای، آسیب پذیری بیشتر، افزایش سن ازدواج و تقلیل در سطح بچه آوری بوده است. استنباط ما این بود که جامعه ایران، پیش از خروج از گذار جمعیتی، گذار جمعیتی دوم را هم به طور جزیی آغاز کرده است و با توجه به تسریع در انقلاب ارتباطی و تشدید در استفاده از وسایل ارتباطی مدرن،‌ به ویژه اینترنت، انتظار می رود تغییرات در خانواده هم تسریع شود، لذا پیشنهاد دادیم مرکز آمار ایران آمارهای لازم برای مطالعه خانواده و تغییرات آن را، در جدول های مناسب، تولید و عرضه و مراکزی هم در برخی دانشگاه ها برای مطالعه اجتماع و خانواده دایر کند. https://www.jpaiassoc.ir/article_722682_7cc2748279e10a30f85974d70b81249e.pdf
