This study used the qualitative method and the sample size comprised of 23 individuals who were selected by theoretical sampling. Interviews were analyzed using the conventional content analysis technique. According to the participants' point of view, factors related to economy, livelihood and job were the main reasons to migrate from suburbs to the capital city. However, after migrating and settling in the destination, various factors may become pull or push factors compared, which have little relationship with the economic theories of migration. The above-mentioned changes can be explained by the way of life in the community and society, or in other words, living in a small and micro-scale social environment as well as living in metropolises. As a general conclusion, it can be expressed that the pull and push factors of a place do not relate only to the condition of the place per se, rather they are in connection with both the other place and in a mechanism of comparison that will be formed in the individual's mind. غالب تحقیقاتی که به بررسی نقش دافعه­ها و جاذبه­ها در مهاجرت پرداخته­اند از رویکرد اثبات­گرایی و کمّی به مسئله مهاجرت پرداخته­اند و عموماً تفاسیر ذهنی مهاجران نسبت به دافعه و جاذبه مبدأ و مقصد را نادیده گرفته­اند. روش تحقیق در این پژوهش روش کیفی و حجم نمونه 23 نفر بوده که از طریق نمونه­گیری نظری انتخاب شدند. مصاحبه­های انجام شده با استفاده از تکنیک تحلیل محتوای عرفی تحلیل شدند. نتایج بیانگر این است که از دیدگاه مشارکت­کنندگان، جنبه­های اقتصادی و معیشتی و شغلی عامل اصلی مهاجرت از حاشیه­ها به سوی مرکز است. با این حال پس از مهاجرت و استقرار در مقصد، عوامل گوناگونی به نسبت قبل از مهاجرت به دافعه و یا جاذبه تبدیل می­گردند که چندان ارتباطی با نظریه­های اقتصادی مهاجرت ندارد. تغییرات ذکر شده از طریق در نظر گرفتن نحوه زیست در اجتماع و جامعه یا به عبارت دیگر زیستن در محیط اجتماعی کوچک و خرد مقیاس و زیستن در کلانشهرها قابل تبیین است. به عنوان نتیجه­گیری کلی می­توان اینگونه بیان کرد که جاذبه و دافعه­های یک محل تنها به وضعیت خود آن محل برنمی­گردد بلکه این دافعه­ها و جاذبه در پیوند با محلی دیگر و در یک مکانیسم مقایسه است که در ذهن فرد شکل و قوام به خود می­گیرد. https://www.jpaiassoc.ir/article_241854_1faaaca1ff30d0bf5312c76a38b938d9.pdf
