The purpose of this paper is to examine the differences in fertility in terms of gender equity and gender equality and answer the question that does gender equity and gender equality matter for fertility? The data are derived from a retrospective survey using a questionnaire, which included histories of childbearing and employment of 552 samples of married women aged 20-40, in the city of Isfahan in the year of 2014. This paper applies a discrete-time survival model (the complementary log-log model) to explore effects of gender equity on probability and mean age at first and second birth. The research results showed that gender equity and gender equality in housework had higher likelihood to first or second birth among working women in the Isfahan. Partial fertility rate showed that Employees with a balanced gender equity and satisfied with the division of housework birth more children. %U https://www.jpaiassoc.ir/article_28034_ef4adfe7de1601aa43370de7b8b9dfa0.pdf
